When choosing a shaft mounted drive, the most logical choice is one that is installed directly onto the shaft of the machine rather than mounting the drive to an external support frame or connecting with an appropriate coupling.

The Bonfiglioli TA series of gearbox is used as a shaft mounted drive for conveyor-type direct drive systems, such as quarry/aggregate conveyors, sand processing plants, food processing lines, or bulk material handling systems where there is a lack of operational space. In addition, when maintaining or repairing machinery with a shaft-mounted drive design, there is considerably less time spent aligning shafts, and the process is significantly faster.
